How are the prints made?

Every motif starts as an original on paper – oil pastel, ink or mixed media. We scan the original at high resolution and have it printed as a 12-color giclée on matte fine art paper (200 gsm, FSC-certified). Color and chalky texture stay intact.

Where is my print made?

At the print studio closest to your delivery address: US orders are printed in the US, orders from Germany and the EU in Europe. That means faster delivery, shorter shipping routes and no customs fees.

How long does delivery take?

Each print is made after you order. In the US it usually arrives within 3–6 business days, within the EU within 2–5 business days. You'll get a shipping confirmation with tracking.

How much is shipping?

You'll see the exact shipping cost at checkout before you pay – it depends on the size and the destination.

Is a frame included?

No, prints ship unframed and flat. All sizes fit standard frames (e.g. 5×7″, 8×10″, 11×14″, 16×20″ or 30×40 cm, 40×50 cm).

Which size is right for me?

For shelves, desks or gallery walls, 5×7″ to 8×12″ works beautifully. Above a sofa, bed or sideboard, go for 12×16″ to 16×24″. Rule of thumb: a picture should be about two thirds the width of the furniture below it.

Can I buy the original?

For many motifs there is exactly one original. Write to us at info@merfs-art.com – we'll tell you the size, medium and price.

My print arrived damaged – what now?

We're sorry! Send us a photo of the print and the packaging within 14 days to info@merfs-art.com and we'll reprint it for free.

Can I send a print as a gift?

Of course. Just enter the recipient's address as the shipping address. The package does not include an invoice with prices.
